Hannah DeMoss 
Senior Manager, Communities of Practice

Hannah DeMoss serves as the senior manager for communities of practice at the HAVI.  Previous to the HAVI, Hannah was the Family Support Coordinator at Boston Medical Center's Violence Intervention and Advocacy Program. In this role, she supported the loved ones of victims of community violence and homicide by assisting in the navigation of acute short-term and long-term needs to achieve overall wellness and safety. She had the opportunity to collaborate and facilitate training with hospital and city stakeholders on trauma-informed and anti-racist violence intervention strategies. Additionally, Hannah is a full-spectrum birth and death doula focused on building a relationship and curating a birthing or dying space that promotes healing, embodiment, and autonomy for survivors and victims of violence. Hannah is motivated to revolutionize interpersonal and structural responses to violence while supporting and uplifting the wisdom, wellness, and sustainability of frontline workers. Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Global Health and Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Iowa and her Masters in Public Health from Boston University.
