Juard Barnes
Senior Advisor, Communities of Practice
Juard Barnes serves as a senior advisor for communities of practice at the HAVI. Juard is a preacher, lecturer, pastor, and freedom fighter who works with the most marginalized in our communities to build a moral vision of inclusion to impact systemic injustices. He has worked as lead administrator for Rehoboth Family Services, a consulting firm where he worked with a wide range of clients, including Eskenazi Hospital, where he served as part of the Youth Violence Reduction Team; the Indiana Foster Care and Adoption Association; Marion County Superior Court and Probation Dept.; the Community for Education Foundation; Fathers and Families, and many others. Juard has also served as a guest lecturer for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the National Academy of Medicine, Christian Theological Seminary, American Mennonite Biblical Seminary, and many others. Currently, Juard serves in multiple capacities, including as the Midwest Convener for The Black Church PAC and Organize the Church, as Servant Leader for New Seasons Fellowship, and as Midwest Regional Director for Faith in Action, the largest faith-based community organizing effort in the nation.
