We invite all frontline violence intervention workers to join us in the new year for a special three-part Brave Space series on grief and trauma. These sessions—which will take place at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT on January 27, February 24, and April 28—will be facilitated by Dr. Sherri Taylor, a highly sought-after speaker, consultant, and facilitator who works with individuals and organizations whose work involves high levels of trauma exposure.
During each of the three special sessions, Dr. Taylor will guide discussions on topics related to grief and trauma that often directly impact frontline workers, including:
Coping with the loss of a client or program participant
Talking to clients about grief
Having difficult conversations about setting boundaries for work and home
Dealing with the loss of a co-worker who may have passed away or moved on to another job
Brave Space is a gathering space open to all frontline violence intervention workers, whether employed at a HAVI member program or another violence intervention program. Created by and for frontline workers, it is a place to come together and share, learn, heal, and be brave.
Please complete the registration form to attend. For more information, visit our website or contact Kyndra Simmons.
These sessions are open to frontline violence intervention workers only.
